I cut my hair for charity before it was cool…
…TWICE! and now I feel bad because I’m still growing my hair out from last fall and I don’t have any good photos to share.
And I’m a whiner when it comes to being left out.
I’ve decided I want my hair to look like Daisy Buchanan’s as soon as it grows another few inches. In my experience, it takes about two years to have a good length to donate, likely when all the hype is over. No matter. I’m glad Shailene Woodley is moving more people to do this though. It takes about five people to make a wig, and I’m sure that together we are making someone very happy.
And as a fair warning to those considering the cut, there will be an awkward phase of a few weeks when your hair will be always be curling outwards on your shoulder, a la 1960’s, but not exactly flattering (in my case at least). However, I assure you this mild suffering of self-consciousness (with the possible side effect of curling iron burns) is worth it.
All jokes aside, thank you all, recent and longtime people of the world who are willing to put your vanity aside to make others feel good about themselves (no matter how you do it).
